Dahlia Vase - Olivegreen
Anna von Lipa has made another beautiful mouth-blown swirl vase for the collection. The Oslo vase is slightly narrower in model than the popular Dahlia swirl vase. It is beautifully crafted and the soft edge at the top makes the flowers stand out in the vase.
It was hand-blown in one of the old glassworks in Bohemia in the Czech Republic. Here they are still proud craftsmen with special traditions and where it is still okay to have a cold beer with the hot work at the furnaces. In Bohemia, their special water and sand are a key ingredient in the creation of all the beautiful hand-blown glass. The sand, in other words, is an important ingredient in the glass itself. For each glass or jug, a carver makes a wooden mould, which is used for pattern and size.
It is a long process to make a hand-blown crystal glass or jug. There are many steps in the process, including mixing the glass, preparing the kiln, making the mould, blowing the glass, cutting off excess glass, firing the edges and polishing. Therefore, this glass costs a little more than a mass produced glass. However, the price is still away at the cheap end, for a piece of craftsmanship. Since this is hand blown glass, they may vary slightly in thickness or and how the pattern appears on the glass. So you have to love the variety and accept that there may be air bubbles in it and that is part of the charm.
All Anna von Lipa mouth-blown glasses are dishwasher safe. They can also be used with a candle and it casts a beautiful light. See also the beautiful glasses from the popular mix and match series. Here you can mix over 70 different glasses.

Our crystal glass is stained. A combination of traditions technology and earth minerals sums up our wide range of colors. Our bluish shades are achieved by adding the liquid glass mass Cobalt oxide. The green and brownish colors are associated with iron. Pink and Ruby with gold chloride. We love stained glass and are proud to work with talented glaziers who teach us to develop our very own colors from nature's treasure trove.
Our crystal glasses are machine-washable when subject to the following recommendations: - Use a short washing program, less than 60˚ celcius, without a drying programme. - Open the door of the washing machine so that water can evaporate and dry your glasses with a tea towel. - Our glasses are resistant to mild acids but not stronger acids like ”minus lime”, as well as various descaling agents that you usually buy in the household. Instead, we advise you use citric or acetic acid.

Anna von Lipa's Paris series is produced in Böhemia in the Czech Republic, by crystal experts. In the production of the crystal series, the special water and sand are a special ingredient. For each product, a joiner produces a wooden mold so that the desired size and pattern for the product is achieved. Every product has to go through a long series of steps in its production. The long process of producing each product in the crystal series is seen and experienced as soon as you get the products in your hands. Therefore, a mouth-blown crystal glass costs a little more than a mass-produced glass, and the delivery can also vary more easily. The crystal vase from Anna von Lipa is really nice to put together with her many different glasses across colors. You will find our entire range from Anna von Lipa here.
